This recently acquired Haddorff piano definitely has smaller spacing between notes than my two Steinways, so it’s a bit of an adjustment. The piano will also need a second tuning as that’s an important area of maintenance neglected by the previous owners.
But if we can look past these frailties, the piano communicates a more intimate sound than my other housed pianos.
When I record this movement again, I will perform it more robustly. For some reason the frequent hot zone peaks had to be tempered across the track which pulled it back a bit.
This is the kind of piece that has to catch the spirit of the Turks, so it’s worth refining and reconsidering. This keeps the creative process bristling with excitement.

Thanks, Lisa.. Haddy is a great musical addition to this household. The two Steinways seem to tolerate her. And Aiden cat seems to keep his paws off her.
My deepest thank you to a wonderful performance and sharing with the world. I’m new to your website and I absolutely love your tutorials. Every words and video you made shows your passion and your love for piano. Thanks again.
What a spirited rendition! “Haddy” has a gorgeous tone, I can see why you love her.
