This evening Aiden decided to share star billing with 8 year old Claudia. It was an encore of sorts, since my student had just completed her lesson and was packing up her music books. Out of nowhere my angel cat made a soft landing on the piano bench and beckoned Claudia with his serene expression to serenade him. She acquiesced and chose her favorite piece, “Doorbell” from Faber’s Primer Piano Adventures. It was a dress rehearsal for her appearance at the Music Teacher’s Association’s Fall Festival recital coming up on Saturday.
I grabbed the camcorder as soon as Aiden snuggled in beside Claudia and became transfixed by her music through the final cadence.
It was a match made in heaven!
purrrrrrrr……..
