This ten year old student has been studying piano with me from age six. She is currently working on Bach Inventions 4, 8, and 13 along with the complete Mozart Sonata in C, K. 545 in C. In this video she is practicing the first movement of the Mozart composition behind tempo.
The student has improved her trill considerably, using a wrist motion to energize it, and her left hand executes very fluid and even arpeggios.
I am very proud of her progress. We have worked on all Major/minor scales and arpeggios going around the Circle of Fifths, in parallel and contrary motion legato/staccato: Root position, 3rds, 6ths, 10ths. Recently, we added diminished 7th and dominant 7th arpeggios going across the keyboard in parallel and contrary motion, as well as in 10ths.
