The brave new horizon technology that launched our webcam mentoring journey around the world, adds an instant language translator by Skype.
As the need arises, a piano teacher can tap into a downloaded CATFISH application and preselect English to Spanish, or any paired lingo combo that’s pertinent to the student’s country of origin.
Last night I tested out the Program in an English to Spanish transaction. I used NEW SCREEN RECORD (Quicktime) to capture the “SCREEN” as I typed in my text that was transmitted instantly to the student in his native tongue.
(To make this communication nexus possible, I downloaded the UNIVERSAL Catfish software for Mac–the same exists for Windows, etc)
PLEASE WATCH IN FULL SCREEN
Naturally, the piano student can download Catfish and reverse the pairing by typing Spanish words into the text box as they’re translated into English. (two simultaneous CATFISH are activated)
So what’s next in cyber? I’ll keep surfing to find out.
